System keeps random rebooting

Has anyone come across this before????

My system has started to randomly reboot. upon looking at the event viewer there is an error message which reads "Service Control Manager The %OWC_USBEHCD.DeviceDesc% service failed to start due to the
following error: The service cannot be started, either because it is
disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it." I think this must be related to the enhanced USB controller and have searched for a new driver but the latest is installed. As far as I know I haven't installed anything that uses USB lately that should start to make it do this.

Does anyone please have any ideas how to cure this??? Even if it means disabling it for now.

In device manager uninstall everything under the heading USB and reboot the PC.

Let XP find and install new hardware, this will refresh the USB ports and drivers.

See if the error then reoccurs.

I have done that fruitbat and am waiting to see if it happens again.

The system has been rebooting randomly so don't have any patten if it will happen again. The error sometimes occurs without the system rebooting and at other times it reboots.

I will let you know the outcome.
