Had a problem with hijacking of a home page which seems to have been fixed and also fixed a few viruses via Adaware and AVG.

However, whenever I turn my computer (Windows XP) on, it comes up with 'the system has recovered from a serious error.'

The log says,

Error Signature:

BCC Code: 1000008e BCP1 C0000005 BCP2: 80536E15 BCP3: F796E588 BCP4 00000000 OsVer 5_1_2600 SP: 0)0 Product: 256_1

The following files will be included in this error report:

C:\\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini060404-04.dmo
C:\DOCUME~1\MARKGOL~1\LOCALS~1\Temp|WER1.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

Can you help me fix the problem?

Not sure if its the same problem but earlier today the computer restarted itself a couple of times automatically although this now seems to have stopped.
