System folder open on start up

on start up the system folder is open though nothing in startup menu - how do I start up with folder closed

Depends on your OS. If win98 / Me / XP then go to start, run and type

msconfig

click ok

Check under the startup tab for any reference to the folder that is opening; if you find one, untick it and reboot the PC.

Nothing in autoexec or config nothing in start-up

ran sfc - but no joy
