System Errors

Hey all,

I've recently moved house and have installed some new ram and a wireless card too, since then my pc hasnt been the same. The pc is now shutting down games on a regular basis and sometimes restarts without permission to do so lol. After the restart it often comes up with windowns has had a serious system error. I thiink it maybe overheating, but i was wondering if there were any other possible causes?

Thanks in advance

What operating system? Win98 doesn't like more than 512MB of ram.

Have you tried removing the additional RAM you installed to see if your system stability returns?

If it doesn't, then insert the RAM and remove the wifi card.

That may help you pin point what is causing the instability.

Well amusingly, the problems were worse before the new ram and wireless, with blue screen syndrome, and games still shutting down, but i will try and see what happens when i take em out.
