System configuration utility - i am doing it right

I have recently used SCU to alter my startup programms (remove some from loading on startup however whenever i start my machine now i get the SCU box appear.
the following message appears (summarized) -' SCU has been used to make changes to windows startup.
SCU is in diagnostic/selective startup causing this mesage to be displayed and utility to run everytime windows starts.
Choose normal startup mode on general tab to start normally and undo changes.'
I don't want to undo the changes as i have removed them for a reason. How do i remove them from the startup menu permanently without this mesage appearing.
Do i just tick the message box - don't show message/launch sys config util when windows starts in case it affects. Didn't want to do this in case windows always starts in this mode and not in the normal fashion
