Yes. Good amount of memory, good graphics card, not sure about Media Centre windows never used it but I see it has a TV card and a remote control etc etc.
Only thing I'm unsure about is the processor but the rest of it looks very nice for the money.

Thanks - I'm mainly looking for a new PC to cope with photo / video editing and some light gaming. It will also be my PC for the next 5 years or so (moving house, so no spare cash available for ages !)

Want to check it will still be 'useful' in a few years time

It will run any program that has been created up to now I would say. Whether it will be fast enough in 5 years time is another matter. But it should be upgradable and you should get a free upgrade to windows vista premium when that comes out. Though I would leave it for a while till its sorted out.
