sysdll.reg problem

  John-268431 21:36 22 Feb 2004

On boot up (after entering profile password) get the following error message:
Cannot import Sysdll.reg: Error opening the file. There may be a disk or file system error.

If I click OK computer continues to work apparently normally. Same in 2 different profiles and after running scandisk.
Any ideas please?

Sophos virus analysis: W32/Bereb-A ... that the Windows\sysdll folder
created by the worm is set as a WinMx shared folder.

Looks like you have "inherited" a worm of some sort, possibly via use of WinMX.

The worm may have gone but the coomand calling it may remain hence the error.

Step 1: Update your Av and do a full scan.

Step 2: Start Menu, Run... type MSCONFIG and hit enter. On the Startup tab find the entry calling sysdll.reg and uncheck it.
