Right click Internet Explorer > Properties > connection > settings

Make sure that USE AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION SCRIPT is NOT TICKED.

Hearing the words "Syntax Error" takes me back to the bad old commodore 64 days.

A fairly rare error in the new (better) days.

TabletFollow the instructions as above, but there are two settings windows and the one you want is lower right, think it says LAN settings, click on that and you will see, USE AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION SCRIPT. that is the one to untick J.

Synatx errors usually mean (i think so anyway) a missing character (command line, address bar)...

Whatever icon you are clciking on, do a search on your computer for it and just replace the icon on your desktop with it.

Next time hit the keys in the correct order.
