Synch problem?

Using Broadband 128k. Windows 98SE. I.E. 6

Getting the message --- "errors occurred while
Windows was synchronizing your data ".
PROGRESS showed that some 'succeeded' ,but
CPMnet Active Channel ......failed ......error downloading URL.

Is that definitely CPMnet, or CMPnet?

CMPnet is one of the standard Active Channels included with W98.

Unless you have a real need for it, right-click on your desktop, select Properties. On the Web tab, untick "Internet Explorer Channel Bar". You may also want to remove the tick for "View my Active Desktop as a web page".

Any further suggestions?
By the way, I can still access my mail etc., it is just a bind disposing of it each time.
Ntl want £1 a minute if I telephone them on their techie support, but I think I would go bankrupt at that price!
