Sygate Firewall and Dr Watson

  swapper 08:50 06 Feb 2005

A few days ago I downloaded and installed Sygate Free firewall, after reading anbout it in this Forum.
From then on I noticed that my CPU usage was 99/100% it was being used by drwtsn.exe - Dr Watson.
For the time being I have uninstalled Dr Watson just to get my PC back up to speed.

As for the Sygate Firewall, when I try to open it I get an error message.

Has anyone else had problems like this?

I had this problem when i changed from sygate version 5.5 to 5.6.

In the end i ditched it and went back to zone alarm with no problems.

Thanks for your replies, I have already done the same thing, gone back to ZA.

I have no complaint with Sygate, it is a free service, and is probably o.k. in most instances.

thanks again.
