Switching wireless router

  lofty 18:58 23 Feb 2007

I use a Belkin wireless G router and a NTL broadband modem. Windows XP.
How can I switch the router off but leave the Internet connection on - ie at the moment I unplug the ethernet cable from the router and plug it into the modem. I seem to remember reading about a switch that would save the plugging and unplugging of the ethernet cable.

I only require the wireless connection occasionally.

Just go into the routers setup via its web based method and switch off the the wireless as and when you need to just leaving the wired connection.
