Must be a reason for such a quick update after 15 (five days)...

I was thinking the same, perhaps we are all in for a flux of updates now windows7 has been finalised.

Could it be that Sun now have a free trial of Carbonite back up software pre-selected to download. I nearly missed that,it was already ticked.

Good morning sunnystaines, and thank you. After problems with Java I only got v15 up and running again yesterday.

i always delete the old version first before install of new java as it can occasionally case problems leaving you with no java.

Strange - I've got Update 15 and when I run jucheck.exe it tells me I have the latest version.

Is it maybe dependent on the OS in use (I have XP Pro)?

  Batch 18:34 13 Aug 2009

Stranger still. Having checked, I can see that I updated to 15 (via jucheck.exe etc.) AFTER the time of the original posting in this thread! I.e. I updated at 14:49 on 11-Aug-09.

some software updates are pre released a day or two early to filehippo/majorgeeks etc to take the pressure off their own severs.
