I have 512MB pc100 sdram and an AMD athlon cpu. Can anyone suggest a suitable motherboard, preferably with onboard sound and video.

Its a 1200mhz athlon and the case is ATX.

Try the MSI KM4M-L. This have anything you will need for now and the future but you will need to change over to DDR SDRAM. Get 256Mb 2700ddr and this will keep you going for a few years and you will be able to upgrade buy buying everyones disposed of, but excellent AMD Barton chips.

Mobo is about £40 and ram about £25.

If not,go for the MSI MS-6378 for about £25 which will accept your old Ram and cpu but you'll be kicking yourself in 12 months or less.

Both boards are very reliable.

Thanks for the responses so far. I forgot to mention that all I'm aiming to do is utilise spare parts, I have a functioning, but slow 500mhz socket 7 PC which my kids use for games etc. so doesn't have to be future proof.
