I want to upgrade my current webcam (USB 1.1) to a USB 2.0 one. My machine already supports USB 2.0, but I don't have any 2.0 devices as yet.

Can anyone suggest any good/cheap USB 2.0 webcam? 'Good' is more important than 'cheap'. Thanks for any help.

Not seen any usb2 ones, most seem to be usb1. Is the quality of your existing one no good?

It's not so much that the quality isn't good (it certainly isn't as clear as when I bought it 2 years ago). I just want to make full use of my USB 2.0 socket. Plus, it would seem logical to think USB 2.0 will make a noticeable quality improvement.

I'm using this one....Trust 380 USB 2.0 Spacecam.

Cost about £40 from PC World, it's about the size of a cigarette packet by the way :)

Very good cam.

I was actually wondering if anyone else had bought one & could recommend it.

bwv in bristol, did you have a USB 1.1 webcam before? & how does it compare to your 2.0 webcam?

No....I used my Fuji S5000 camera as a web cam, which was Ok. The Trust web cam is far superior with a much better picture.
