Sudden XP Security Centre Problem

  babybell 17:45 07 May 2009

I've just turned on my PC and Windows is saying I have no Firewall or Anti Virus running despite having Norton 360 saying I'm protected.

Scanned with Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes and nothing comes up.

Anyone know what's wrong?

I've had the same problem with the security suite, having turned off Windows firewall in favour of Comodo and Avast a/v.
Perhaps Microsoft don't like us using anything other than their products and send warnings so we revert to their stuff?
Other members will no doubt supply more sensible answers.

My fault, I remember now that I ticked the box that allows Norton 360 to run at boot up instead of start up. This has obviously meant that Windows doesnt detect it booting up.

Is there away around this or do I have to tick the boxes that say I will monitor my own AV and Firewall

Just realised that I HAVEN'T selected early load at all, that was on my laptop, not my desktop which is having the issue.

Its been a long day :o(
