sudden shutdown / bluescreen

i'm hoping someone can heer laptoplp ac
ashes regularly
again , i hope somone can help . acer laptop crashes daily , says bluescreen in prob reps


also as you can see my pointer randomly jumps around screen , so typing in a dialogue box like this is kinda frustrating
its not that old a machine , i have tried reinstalling vista but it just makes the problem worse

any ideas please?

Check device manager for any conflicting devices or devices with errors.

Are you by any chance "brushing" the touchpad with your wrists as you type?

Maybe try this and see if any drivers need here
Also maybe run your security programs maybe you have brought a virus back with you.
Malwarebytes free is good for clearing most problems.

thanks for the replys guys

i didnt boot from the cd , acer dont supply them , i dont remember the correct wording but its internal

no problems in device manager , and to be honest i've sat back and the pointer just carries on like a tasmanian devil around the screen
also it randomly selects items it passes over and opens them . it means i get a separate window open for every advert .i'm not even touching the laptop at all

Have you tried starting in safe mode? If so, do you still get the same behaviour?

i can start in safe mode , i havent noticed any problems there but i usually just start it in safe mode if i'm having difficulties with start-up or shutdown. sometimes it just seems to struggle to do the simplest task. rather like the ex

not really sure about acers do you have the option to make Discs to restore to factory settings ( re your "its internal " Comment if you do befoe doing anything I would suggest burning a set

If ok in safe mode then its a driver problem.

Uninstall and reinstall the drivers one at a time until the problem goes away.

Have to agree with Fruit Bat /\0/\ that it is most likely a driver problem.

When you say that you tried to reinstall Vista was it a repair or a full reinstallation?
