Studying for MCSA 2000 - Laptop with 2000 or XP

I am currently studying for my MCSA 2000. I want to buy a laptop to help me. Now I know the obvious os to get is 2000 but i am findong it very hard to buy one with 2000 installed. So if i buy one with XP surley it means i will get used to XP not 2000.

The one downfall I found is I have to sit the MSCE for XP soon after doing Win2K.

They are different, Pro has a lot of the functions but yep your right 2K is not XP.

if you can afford it get the laptop with xp, buy 2000 and dual boot, if you cant afford it sorry i'm no help at all.

A personal opinion....Win 2000 and XP Pro are almost totally the same if you revert XP back to classic view. I was going to take my MCP in 2000 but at the last moment decided to go for XP. After buying some of the test prep and training books I realised that I was going over ground I had already covered ...and that fixing XP was the same as 2000 excet System Restore.

If you get XP pay for the upgrade to Pro the home version is to limited.

Now Server 2003....thats a different matter entirely.
