Streaming from my PC - IP address problems

I want to stream a webcam and some audio from my PC.

I've previously had it all working no problem when the PC was connected directly by a cable to my wireless router.

Now, that physical connection is no longer there and the PC uses a USB wireless receiver to get on line.

I know my problem has something to do with IP addresses...static and dynamic IP addresses perhaps??

I have a rough idea of what it is...but can someone explain simply what I need to do??

Many thanks.

a direct (cable) connection to a router will usually give you unlimited port access.
wireless connections are usually firewalled.
you need to get into your router settings and allow full access for the USB wireless device you are using
