streaming audio capture

  rabbitrabbit 09:59 24 Sep 2003

currently listening to some tunes from the Virgin Radio website. they're sessions from the last few years. great songs. i want to save them and burn them. but i can't. the songs appear in windows media format (streamed), but only in a pop-up window. so there is no option to save. i've tried various streaming audio capture programs (streamripper, etc) but with no success. anyone have any suggestions? ta.

VirginRadio used to come with a dedicated Virgin player(I stopped using it as it seemed to require major resources to run)and that had a "Record" button included with it.

I listen to Virgin Radio using WinAmp with their MP3 stream.

As I have a Sound Blaster card fitted, I could select 'What U Hear' from the record tab of the mixer to record to the HD, although I have not, as yet done this.

I guess also, another possibility with WinAmp, would be to select a different Output Plugin to achieve the recording.
