Strange Outlook 2003 Problem

  ajm 20:28 19 Aug 2007

I have outlook 2003 as my email client. On some websites there is an email address and when I clik on that, Outlook is supposed to open up and I can then write/send email from there.

Now, when I click on an email address link, instead of the above happening, I get approx 30 Internet Explorer windows opening up at the same time and the whole machine just hangs up. I am using Windows XP Home with SP2 and IE7.

I have looked at the options in Ecplorer for programs and all seems to be OK.

Any help appreciated.

did this happen with ie6? if not try uninstalling ie7 and see if it still happens. I did not like ie7 and removed it after 2 days.

VoG™ - Your link and the first solution seemed to do the job and all seems ok. Much grateful.

howard64 - I never had this problem with both IE6 and IE7; it just happened approx 2 weeks ago and was really irritating. I seem to like IE7, but use Firefox most of the time.

Thank you.
