Strange Emails, is it a virus?

  Teaface 15:15 23 May 2004

I keep receiving emails from complete strangers saying " A message filter has removed the followibg attachement form this message, please look at the attached file" I emmediately eraze the whole thing. I assume this is some attempt at virus attack. Has anyone else come across it?

"Has anyone else come across it?"

All too often.

Never be tempted to open anything that is unknown or that you are not expecting.

PS Ensure your antivirus software is up to date and scan your system on a regular basis.

Please note the Netsky virus fakes email addresses from the harddrive of the computer it has infected (detailed in the latest PC Advisor). The chances are it's not you, its sent from someone who might have your address (even if it has been posted on a newsgroup or website).

However, it's always best to keep anti-virus software up-to-date.
