Strange E-Mail.

  carper 12:56 06 Dec 2004

I received an E-mail with an attachment which had no message, no senders name and no subject and was timed at 0300hrs. I did of course delete this without opening but anybody any idea what the scam might be. I didn't think you could send an E-mail without the senders name being automatically added. Regards Carper

Unfortunately there are lots of little tricks that mean scammers can send emails with no return address specified, fake return addresses or real return email addresses that are not the senders.
