Strange Computer on my network.

Doing some checks as I have a speed problem, and found my neighbour's PC showing on my network. I have recently changed to Plusnet and am using their router with standard wireless security. This PC shows in the network list even with WiFi off.

Any thoughts on how to remove it?

Change your wireless network password.

As I said, this PC shows even with the WiFi off. What's strange is, I just logged in again and it is no longer there. Will check again later.

Next time you see it showing, right click and click . But also, as wiz-king says - change your network password, and if you are not sure how to do this, speak to PlusNet and tell them why you need it changed.

When an IP address is allocated to a device by a router (using DHCP), it has a lease time (often 24 hours, but some routers allow you to vary this).

Devices will show up on the router until the (current) lease time for an IP address has expired (resetting the router should clear it though).
