Internet Explorer, Tools|Internet Options, Privacy tab. Sites button. Type in the web address and click Block.

Yes, there is - the "Hosts" file. If you add a line for the particular website in the Hosts file, any browser in the PC will be unable to access the site. The Hosts file has no extension, but is a plain text file and can be opened in Notepad. In Windows XP, it is in the path:

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\Hosts

Add a line for the site to block in the form:

127.0.0.1 click here

save and exit. He's probably less likely to find that and disable it again ;-)

Sorry, damned forum "Click Here" corruption of URLs! Line should read:

127.0.0.1 (space) w w w .websitesitename.com

ripanation,
unfortunately, if you have to request this information your son is probably better equiped than you to get around anything you do.

The best way to stop your son doing it is to put the PC in a room where everyone congragates. I dont think he will do it whilst mum or dad are in the same room!
