Stopping screensaver from starting up..........

I remember a prog that, when running, would make the cursor 'twitch' slightly at set intervals to stop the screensaver from starting, but for the life of me I can't think what it was called.

Does anyone know of anything like that?

Yes I know I should be able to set the screensaver option to 'none' or at least a long time period but whenever I restart my XP laptop it reverts back to the default setting.

Thanks,
