stopping pop-ups

am running AOL9 and settings are set to block all pop-ups. IE is also set up to block all pop-ups but they keep appearing and have checked and double checked the settings in my internet options in control panel but all settings are set to block all.

any one know how they are getting through, its defiantly IE, as the pop-up windows have the IE symbol in the top left corner.

am also running the progs... stop windows messenger spam and shot the messenger, both are active/running.

thanks in advance for your assistance.

Really not much choice here, there are some simple steps but after those the choice boils down to malware removal forums, or reinstalling the os. Most people opt for the forums which can take a long time.

Ok, the first link are the steps and a malware forum

the second link is just another malware forum.

another less known malware forum

If you are lucky the steps should be enough then.
