OK - thanks for the help last night. Learnt about IP addresses, and also found out how to configure my router.BUT - I still can't get a Windows Media stream accessible outside of my home network. Here's the set up - a laptop, connecting wirelessly to a Belkin Router.I am running Windows Media Encoder and wish to make this stream available to the outside world. When I start the stream, it generates an internal IP address, which works perfectly well within my own home, but obviously is useless to anyone else.I've tried disabling my firewall, and told my router to forward port 8080 from the laptop. The router uses NAT, but when I disable it, I can't connect to the net at all?? which seems strange.can anyone take me further on with this?
