Hi........Two problems that need help please
PROBLEM 1.........I keep getting the following message on screen...

................................................
"Internet Explorer Script Error"
Line:
Char:
Error:
code:
URL:

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

Yes / No
..................................................

This has been going on for a while now and it has different contents after each subheading shown above on each occasion. Any idea why I am getting this and how to remove it for good?

PROBLEM 2.......
Also, my PC seems so slow these days it is constantly playing catch-up and I am always waiting for the egg timer...do I need better RAM to improve this?

Currently I have 2 x 512 ddrSdram modules in.
thanks....

I have tried defragging the c drive and left it on all night..it stopped after 9%. I tried again and it got to 21% and stopped. Can anyone suggest what's wrong please?

Also...The Internet Explorer Script Error keeps appearing and the boxes 'disable script bugging (internet explorer) and 'disable script bugging (other) are both already ticked.

The PC is extremely slow and I have to wait for it to catch up with every mouse and keyboard action.
It is 3 year old and these are the specs...
MS windows XP (home edition version 2002..service pack 2)
AMD Sempron (tm) Processor 3000+
1.8GHZ 1.00 gb ddr ram
Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 graphics

would more ram memory help or is it something else that's causing it to labour please?
thanks for any help...........

Hi more RAM would definatley help as XP requires a lot to run so therefore out of your GB you won't have a lot left to do other things have a look at this click here
It will help determine how much memeory is being used

Go to My Computer double click it, right click C:\ Tools the Run Disc Check tick box to auto fix. Do a full check of the drive

I think it is a lot better now after I have done a disk check...thanks to all for your help.

1GB is plenty for XP unless you run DTP or image/movie editing software
