startup order

I asked this before but I've lost the answers.

How can I get the programs to start in the order I want them or not start until I need them.

For example, security first, mouse , e-mail, firefox and so on,

I did use a program for this but new downloads kept pushing in and altering the order, so I ditched it.

Except for the mouse and A/V,nothing starts without action from you.

Winpatrol can do what you want click here

But why have your email and firefox start at start-up

I just have the basic programs starting at start-up then manualy open others when needed

Ccleaner is best to use to stop selected programs starting click here

I tried Winpatrol before but couldn't get it to space out as I neede, but on reflection , it's only at rebooting that takes too long, the PC is permanently on and receiving messages so only reboot every few days to "clean" it up

If there is another program similar to Winpatrol I would like to try it.

Thanks 124, just the sort of program that I need.

Coincidentally reading the "Windows Secrets" newsletter coming in overnight it is the topic in the forum there. and they don't have an answer apart from fiddling with registry.

I will send your lead/link over to Seattle, that might make their day if it's stopped raining!
