I am getting the following error message every time I boot up my pc:

file or directory c:\windows\fonts\PALSCRI.TTF is corrupt and unreadable.

It doesn't appear to be affecting any of my programs or the performance of the pc. Does anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?

The file for the Palace Script MT font has become corrupted. click here Just deleting it will probably cure the problem but then you will not have that font on your system.

However why has the file become corrupt? You may want to check your hard drive for errors.

Must type more quickly.

I don't why it has become corrupt. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary recently on the pc. It really annoys when that happens (you get error messages saying something is broke/wrong but you haven't done anything to it). I might just system restore it at a later date.

I'm not sure that a System Restore will fix a damaged font file, why not just download it from the site VCR97 linked to and install it - when asked if you are sure that you want to re-install an existing file just click on yes - or of course you could delete the old one first.
