Start up slow since getting broadband

I don't know whether it's a coincidence but the above seems to be the case. I've carried out all of the usual checks such as clearing temporary internet files, sran pybot, adaware and c/cleaner. The message at the bottom of the black screen when starting up is:

CLIENT MAC ADDR: OO OF EA17 CE 60 GUID (a series of F's) DHC (P) if that means anything.

Start/Run/type msconfig and hit enter/Start up Tab, untick any program that you don't need on start and reboot, you will get a message that you have changed just tick don't show me again.You are not stopping or damaging any programs they will still work as normal but they won't load until you want them.
