Start up query.

When my machine boots up, in one of the early windows it states:-
Searching for Boot Record from CD Rom, then says
Searching for Boot Record from Floppy Disc, and then after a small delay says
Invalid Boot.Ini file, Starting from C:\ Windows.
I have accepted this situation for quite a while now as it always starts and appears to cause no other problems. This morning I tried to re-install Windows XP but could not do so due to an error message which stated ‘ Unable to continue with installation due to an invalid boot.ini file’. Can anyone tell me how to create and install a boot.ini file?

For XP

Start -> Run: Type msconfig in the box -> click OK.

On new pop-up, click the Boot.ini tab -> click the button that says "Check All Boot Paths"

If there are problems XP should ask you if you want them fixed.
