Ive got a problem whereas my laptop will not boot up properly. On opening itasks how id lik to start up....Safe mode, Last know good config, Normally etc etc, ive tried all of them, but it keeps bringing me back to the same screen (How id like to start up)
Im running windows XP which it tries to start (ie, scrolling bar across the screen) like its gonna work, but then back to the same screen.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Have you tried tapping F8 at start up to see if it works there.
If so last good configuration or system restore.

Only thing I can think of is a system repair but you would need the original XP disc for that.
Best waiting for someone with better knowledge of your problem.
Do you have a restore to factory settings on it.
It is usually F10 or f11 at start up.
Once again you would loose any programs that you have installed.
Like I said best waiting for proper advice on how to sort it.
