Thanks to many of you people that advised me that it was my hdd that was causing the problem i had with my computer. Now i have a new hdd with windows installed and all that.

Now the problem i have is that i want data off my old hdd, so i have put the old hdd back in to the computer. And my computer is selecting the old hdd to boot up with. I have tried looking in the bios to see if i can select which it boots up with, but i cant find anything. I have 3 hdd's in the computer now and on part of the bios its been selected that my new hdd is the master and the storage hdd(the 3rd hdd that doesnt have windows installed on) as the slave.

I have an Abit IC7 Max 3 motherboard.

Can anyone help me? Is it something in the bios that i am missing?

Cheers

What make and version of BIOS do you have?

I have looked at the Manual.click here

Having connected all the drives go in to the BIOS and go to the Advanced Tab, there you will see a list, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and other boot device. Click on what is shown as 1st Boot device and then change this to your prefered drive.
