Start Up Disk

Hello. Somebody told me that I should have a start up disk. Well I don't think I have one. I read in a magazine that I should go to Bootdisk.com. which I did, but I truly didn't understand what I should be doing. Can somebody please explain why I need one and how I can get one. Thanks again. Ann

Which OS are you using, if it happens to be XP, you don't need a seperate start up disc. The original XP disc does the job.

It really depends on what you're going to do and what operating system you use. Windows XP for example is already a bootable disk, you just set the computer up to boot from the cdrom and have your XP disk in the drive. What operating system are you using?
