Standy / rebooting problems

  Beavis69 16:30 28 Aug 2004

I’ve recently installed a driver for my broadband. Since then my machine has started to play up.

When I start my pc, I get the option to run in “XP mode”, or “run windows recovery mode”. If I leave it alone, it starts in XP mode. Any ideas how I get this message to go away?

Also, when my machine goes into standby mode, when I wake it up, it reboots. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, but to no avail.

I’ve also run a virus scan, but didn’t throw anything up

My machine is a Packard bell, and I’m using windows xp. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
