  Sparkly 11:00 20 May 2008

Hi all can anyone help with this? I have just had a call from a friend who says that his pc is just hanging from what he described to me it sounds like windows update were in the process of updateing and has stalled,he said that last night his sreen was telling him installing update 1 of 1 do not switch of your computer so he left it went to bed and the screen is still displaying this to him, so he eventually just switched the pc off rebooted and just gets the same info and cannot access the pc. Untill i go to his house i cant even tell you what update it was he is new to pc's and is a bit vauge with his explanations. He is running XP Pro SP2 commodo antivirus and firewall, any thoughts on this before i go down to help? Or how i can get around the stalled update. Many thanks.
