Stack Full in print preview

I am using Office 2000 prof. Windows XP. When in word and ask for print preview a Visual Basic box pops up and says Stack Full and it will not preview. This only happens in word not Excell or any other program. Any ideas for a cure.

I can't find anything relevant on Google so can only suggest you try the 'Detect and Repair' from the Help menu.

If you have a Config.sys you could try the following

Type these three lines direct under each other in the config file

STACKS=64,512

FILES=60

BUFFERS=40

if it does not work just remove them

Thank you for responding, although neither worked however. It appears that the problem lays with too much rubbish on the desktop (ie Icons)and unused programs. The stack=64 from Woodchip, reminded me that in the old DOS days this was adjustable and a build-up could be helped by increasing the stack command. Unfortunately Windows appears unable to cope with this so a mass deletion is required.All is now fine.
