SSI help, please

I've created a site using server side includes, which reside in the root directory in a folder named "includes".

I've also made a new folder called "past_events" into which I intend to pop some pages when they are no longer current (but I still want them to be accessible).

Now here's the problem... when I re-save to the "past_events" folder in Dreamweaver, I'm asked if I want to update the links, and I click "Yes". My style sheet and image links update accordingly, and so does the SSI:

link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../global.css" />

!--#include file="../includes/" -->

In Dreamweaver, the navigation list is all present and correct, but when I publish the site - using the same directory structure - I get the error message "an error occurred while processing this directive".

I'm sure that the path to the include is correct, so why am I getting this message?

Wrong forum...

I've asked the FE to move this to webdesign.

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
