a sqyared seems very slow??

Following a re-install of XP home, I've spent a while getting my system running nicely with all my apps...

I'd previously been using AdAware, but the new version doesn't allow much to be configured, (i.e. only one drive), so I've ditched that for A-squared, which I'm sure Ive seen recommended here before...

The problem is that it's taking AGES to scan...

My C partition is about 17 Gig, with about 8.5 gig used... Spybot scans all this in about 15 mins... A-square has taken half an hour and only done half!

Does this tally with other folks experiences/expectations?

Thanks for any observations,

On full scan it will take about an hour for me.But I just run the full scan once a month.smart scan only takes about 15 minutes, There was a big up-date to-day ,I don't know if you have already downloaded it.

I should add that I would rather have the hour scan with A Squared than the 15 min scan with Spybot or Ad-aware.Everyone has there own favorites.Quick scan takes about 5 minutes so you have a choice.
