Running XP with PC-cillin antivirus & Adaware, we seem to have picked up a Trojan or virus. Home page keeps changing, default search engine keeps coming up as 'netsearch' & Adaware keeps finding 'roing', which we keep deleting. It's causing pop ups {despite having pop up stopper} adding new stuff {like gambling/sex sites} to the favourites & driving us completely mad. Have shut down System Restore & run Adaware twice now but it comes back when I boot up.

Go into start/search and search for netsearch delete all instances you find.

Then go into the registry by typing rededit at start/run.

Once in the registry go to edit/find and search for netsearch continue to search by clicking find next until you have searched and removed all instances of netsearch from the registry.

Go into start/run and type msconfig 'ok' click the startup tab and untick any instance of reg32 and reg33 disable system restore and reboot.
