spyware/adware help

  nate54216 09:00 16 Feb 2008

My PC was recently infected with a bad virus and I eventually managed to remove it or so I thought.

Now when I do a seach on Google and I click on the website I want, I sometimes get diverted to other search engines or websites. Im sure you'll agree that this is very frustrating.

My OS is WXP home, I have Norton anti virus which claims there are no more infections and I have also tried AVG which gives the same results.

Any suggestions are most welcome.
