Spyware Guard - Is it working?

  ade247 10:05 06 Apr 2006

Can anybody tell how I can tell if Spyware Guard is still working on my computer? When I installed it it created an entry in my Start Up folder. However I like a nice clean start up folder and deleted the icon. Now when I boot up my computer the spyware guard icon does not appear in my task bar unless I select the Spyware Guard Programme in start>all programmes>spyware guard. Is it still working in the background or do I have to reinstall it and leave the entry in the start up folder? Thanx.

If you're happy to start it manually every time you start your pc, fine, but if you wish it to start automatically when windows starts, you have to leave it in the start-up folder.

You don't have to reinstall, just open explorer (or whichever file manager you use), find the folder it is installed in, and drag the *.exe (eg. spywareguard.exe) file to the start-up folder.

Hope this helps.

Yep, but drag it with the right mouse button, and when you let go choose to create a shortcut.
