Spyware & browser hijackers - HELP!!!

Hi

Have inadvertently managed to infect my PC with two TRojan viruses (Nebule-GEN and ANOther) now got rid of them but am still getting som every odd behaviour. I use IE7.0, Windows Defender, AdAware, ZoneAlarm, SpyBOT and Sophos plus I ran on online scan using Microsoft partner's site (found on the Defender page).

I now keep getting messages telling me my PC is littered with pornography and other nasties and that I need to download DriveCleaner - suffice to say I have no intention of downloading anything marketed this way, I assume it is more spyware. I am also unable to use tabbed browsing - each time I attempt to open up a second tab IE shuts down instantly with no warning or error message.

How do I get rid of these two, I suspect linked, persistet problems?

Any advice MUCH appreciated!!

See click here for manual instructions.

Or use HJT click here and post your log on the MWR forum click here

Download and run CW Shredder click here

Then disable System Restore (you'll lose all your restore points) and run full scans with Defender, Spybot, AdAware and your AV program.

Re-enable System Restore.

Cross your fingers.

If still no good, post back here.

Will try all of the above and post back. One of the meesages was that Win32res.exe is sending info out on my PC but found information on another forum telling me that's not true!! Pesky critters these!

Have you seen this info about DriveCleaner?

You were right to be suspicious of it.

VoG - mwr forum exceptionally helpful, looks like my particular beasty manages to conceal itself from hijackthis!

Worst case scenario am into a complete rebuild (not a bad thing anyway) although having problems with RAID0 and recovery (needs the promise drivers on a floppy disk but the drive looks like it needs replacing!!).

Will leave this topic as resolved for now in hope that either MWR or recovery does the trick.

g0sip - thanks for comments these unscrupulous people make it harder to enjoy the web don't they!!
