I have 2 desktops with XP Pro SP2 running wirelessly through a Belkin router. On one machine I've just started getting connection problems. Whilst stating I'm "now connected", opening Firefox or IE fails to load home page. Mail cannot be retrieved either.

I have a HiJack This! log but it's too long to post in this thread.

Please help!

Have you run your anti-virus and spyware programs? If so what have you run and what were the results?

If you have no anti-spyware programs, download, update and run Spybot S&D click here Spyware Terminator click here and a-squared free click here.

If you want to post a HJT log, the auto checker is click here and the best site for analysis is click here. Make sure you go to the English part of the site.

Thanks for the HJT Link JohnDrew! No obvious culprits though.

Used various AV/spyware progs all turning negative results.

Tried doing repair with XP disk which then through up numerous corrupted files. Praise be to Acronis for backups (albeit a month old).

Seems that corrupt files were the problem, many thanx for your responses.
