Spybot search results-DSO exploit,windows media p?

  romanab 23:31 05 Mar 2004

I have just installed and run spybot s+d and it has shown(in red and ticked)5 DSO exploits HKEY-users\s-1-5-18\software\microsoft\windows\current version\internet settings\zones\0\1004=w=3 (the other 4 are s-1-5-19....20....21 and default). In the information box it says the company name is microsoft, the product internet explorer and the threat is a security hole.It also finds(again in red and ticked)2 items: windows media player client I.D. HKEY-users\s-1-5-19\software\microsoft\media player\settings\clientI.D.There is no additional info on these 2.All are logged as "registry change". As these appear to have originated from microsoft should I remove them or leave them be? Any advice would be very welcome............cheers

Dynamic Shared Objects or Data Source Object i believe.(dont ask me what that means i have no idea)

i just let spybot delete them if found,no problems.

you may want to untick "system internals" from the settings/file sets options.

Thanks Huggy71,Vog.System internals was unticked so should they have shown up?

yes.just checking as you said "registry change" and seemed a little worried.:-)

i do let it check the internals and never have a problem with that either.spybot is a great wee program.
