Spybot keeps finding these

  Pineman100 15:08 04 Aug 2006

Whenever I run a Spybot S & D scan, it finds two registry changes called:-

Windows Security Center.AntivirusDisableNotify
Windows Security Center.FirewallDisableNotify

I am never certain whether these are valid security functions on my computer, or whether they are spyware that will tip off some malware source if/when I switch off my AV or firewall.

None of my other security software (Norton Internet Security, Windows Defender and Adaware Personal) finds these.

Are they OK or should I zap them?

Thanks for any advice.

I don't why they are being flagged but they are legitimate components of the Security Centre that are used to warn you if your AV or firewall goes AWOL.

Don't use it at all, myself, but each to their own.

You can also choose to ignore these on the next scan.
I did just that, and haven't had a problem since.
