Just downloaded Spybot and after scan lots of error logs in red - is it safe just to accept the "fix" - looked at the description for each item and although some are obvious, others are not

What does Adaware do? Is it similar?

adaware is similar, if you are worried, create a restore point (windows xp) before you apply the fix, then if it all goes wrong, which I doubt very much, you can restore to the earlier point.

I've never had a problem with spybot.

you should download and install spywareblaster which stops the spyware getting on your pc in the first place, and remeber to check regularly for & install pdates for both programmes.

Correct me if I am wrong but Spybot has its own built in recovery option.

no you are quite correct - it does have it's own recovery option.
