Spy protection

I use avast and zone alarm for virus protection
For spy protection I use spyware blaster and superantispy
All free additions
I have presumed that the spyware blaster helps to prevent spies infiltrating and that superantispy finds any spies that have got past the spyware blaster
Am I correct in this assumption and do I need both the anti spy programmes

Your assumption is more or less correct, and yes keep both. Spyware Blaster is passive, and filters out any malware in it's database. SAS is pro active, and searches for everything in it's updated database.
