I have spydoctor installed on my computer and have been told this should be enough security, I want to protect my compter do you suggest adding any other programs with this. I want one that is cheap and easy to understand. Also can you put this on more than one compter or do you have to purchase 2 copies. My son also need his compter protecting.

It should steer you in the right direction.

Software is usually only for one PC, so muliple PCs need more than one license.

You need a good Anti Virus as a MINIMUM

AVG Free click here is good but can only be used on one PC per household. It must also be a home pc and not be used for business.

I would add Adaware click here and SpywareBlaster click here. These can both be installed on more than one PC per household.

As for SpyDoctor - i don't know it, but home users should never have to pay for security. There's always a free alternative.

Also consider MS AntiSpyware - click here
